Application process

UAL has local representatives in Canada based in Toronto and Vancouver. They can assist you through the entire application process; from inquiry to enrolment. This service is free.

Applying through our Canadian representatives is the only way to organise an in-person interview with a UAL academic. Our academics can also make an alternative course offer if they feel you’re better suited to another course, but they can discuss this with you first.

If you have any questions about our courses, you can get in touch with our Canadian representatives:
For eastern Canada, contact Jess at
For western Canada, contact Pennylane at

Key deadlines

There are no fixed deadlines for applications from international students, but we advise you to apply as early as possible.

Next steps

Once you’ve submitted your application, the selection process varies depending on the course, and your method of application.

Canadian representatives

If you applied through our representatives in Canada, you might be asked to attend an in-person interview with one of our International Academic.

In these interviews, our staff can make offers for courses at any of UAL’s six Colleges. This means that if you are not accepted at your first choice College, you may be offered a more suitable course at one our other five Colleges.

Direct applications

If you applied directly to a College and were invited to an interview, it would be conducted by telephone.

If your application and interview are successful, we’ll offer you a place at the College you applied to. Unlike applications made through our representatives, you’ll only be considered for the course you applied for.
